Fresher Data Analyst (Entry / Junior Level)

Role overview

This is a part-time, remote opportunity for an early-career Data Analyst to support evidence-based decision-making across the organization. The position is aimed at candidates who are eager to build their analytical and business understanding while contributing to real work from day one.

What you will do

You will work with data from internal and external sources, helping the team turn raw information into useful insights. The job includes gathering data, cleaning and organizing it, carrying out basic analysis, building simple data models, and creating easy-to-read visuals and reports for stakeholders.

You will also partner with colleagues to understand business questions, check data accuracy, document your findings clearly, and keep your work organized so it can be reviewed and used by others.

Qualifications and skills

The role calls for solid analytical ability and a basic grasp of data analytics methods. A working understanding of statistics — including descriptive measures and simple hypothesis testing — is important, along with introductory exposure to data modeling concepts such as data structures, relationships, and straightforward schemas.

Good written and verbal communication is needed, especially the ability to explain insights to people without technical backgrounds. You should be comfortable using spreadsheets such as Excel or Google Sheets, and open to learning tools like SQL, Python, R, or BI platforms.

Attention to detail, dependable data handling, and a habit of documenting work are essential. Since the role is remote, you should be able to manage your time well, work independently, and collaborate effectively through digital communication tools.

Education preference

A background in a quantitative or related field can be helpful, such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or Business Analytics. That said, a related degree is not mandatory if you can demonstrate equivalent skills and readiness for the role.
