Job description

Role overview

A long-established national charity is hiring a Fundraising & Events Coordinator to join its expanding fundraising function. This is a strong opportunity for a people-oriented professional to help deliver and grow local fundraising activity, volunteer engagement efforts, and community events across Leinster and the South East of Ireland.

You will work directly with volunteer fundraising branches, community groups, and supporters, playing an important part in raising essential funds, deepening local relationships, and coordinating initiatives that create a positive impact across Ireland.

This position is suited to people with backgrounds in fundraising, community engagement, sales, business development, event coordination, volunteer support, or stakeholder relationship management.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain productive relationships with volunteer fundraising branches, supporters, and local community stakeholders.
  • Help plan, organise, and deliver community fundraising events, campaigns, and related initiatives.
  • Attract, train, develop, and support volunteers, including helping with succession planning.
  • Spot and grow new fundraising opportunities within local communities and networks.
  • Offer support on event administration, fundraising good practice, communications, and social media promotion.
  • Track fundraising activities, performance, and regional income goals.
  • Keep fundraising records, CRM information, and reporting systems accurate and up to date.
  • Share learning and effective practices to help expand fundraising activity across the region.
  • Represent the organisation at community events, networking functions, and stakeholder meetings.

Candidate profile

  • Prior experience in fundraising, sales, business development, community engagement, events, volunteer management, or another relationship-led role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work towards targets, create opportunities, and build trusted stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed organisational, project coordination, and time management abilities.
  • Self-driven approach with the ability to work independently and balance several priorities at once.
  • Experience working with volunteers, community groups, or membership-based organisations is a strong advantage.
  • Good IT capability, including CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.
  • A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel throughout Leinster and the South East.
  • Availability to attend occasional evening and community-based events.

What’s offered

  • Permanent role with both full-time and part-time options available.
  • The chance to work for a well-respected national charity with meaningful social impact.
  • A varied position that brings together fundraising, community outreach, volunteer support, and event coordination.
  • Freedom, flexibility, and the opportunity to build strong community partnerships.
  • Continued professional development and opportunities to progress your career.
