General Manager

Role overview

We are seeking a General Manager to oversee branch sales and internal operations, with direct responsibility for leading the sales team. In this role, you will work closely with the Operations Manager to shape strategies that support stronger growth, improved profitability, and consistent customer service. The company is a value-added distributor serving the dental and animal health sectors with products, services, and technology, offering customers a single reliable partner for their business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Study sales performance, customer requirements, and market movements to improve sales results.
• Build team capability through regular training, coaching, and constructive performance feedback.
• Assess the work of direct reports and monitor overall job performance.
• Collaborate with the Operations Manager to strengthen customer service within the branch and identify ways to improve efficiency or lower costs.
• Take part in hiring and selection efforts to ensure staffing coverage and meet branch commitments.
• Carry out additional general management duties as needed.

Required qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in sales, management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent mix of education and professional experience.
• At least 3 years of sales experience with a clear record of results.
• Experience in customer service, sales, and asset management is preferred; prior supervision of sales teams is especially valued.
• Strong business judgment, sound decision-making, and a customer-first mindset.
• Proven ability to lead teams effectively, build high performance, and support ongoing employee development.
• Comfort using computers, including MS Office and CRM platforms.
• Industry knowledge is an advantage.
• Spanish/English bilingual candidates are preferred.

This position is based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The role is full-time and onsite.
