General Manager – Pre-Opening | Earth Riyadh

Role Overview

This position is for a senior hotel leader who will take charge of the pre-opening journey for Earth Riyadh and guide it through launch and early stabilization. The property is envisioned as a vibrant community-focused destination rather than a conventional hotel, blending design, food, wellness, creativity, and human connection.

As the on-property steward of the brand, you will make sure every guest and team interaction reflects the Earth Hotels approach of creating uplifting places that inspire people every day. The role is highly visible and practical, and it suits someone who enjoys building a lifestyle hospitality business from the ground up.

Pre-Opening Leadership

You will oversee the full pre-opening process, starting from project handover and continuing through opening day and the period after launch. This includes coordinating with internal teams such as Development, Design, Technical Services, Brand, Finance, and Citizen & Culture to keep all milestones on track.

The job also covers building the opening critical path, supporting design reviews, reviewing mock-up rooms, planning operations, and participating in owner walkthroughs. You will manage procurement, OS&E installation, testing, commissioning, and readiness across all departments.

Operations and Guest Experience

Once the hotel opens, you will lead day-to-day operations across Rooms, Food & Beverage, Wellness, Retail, Engineering, Finance, and People & Culture. The aim is to create a warm, guest-first environment where every visitor feels welcomed, inspired, and connected.

You will keep standards high for service, cleanliness, presentation, and safety, while actively reviewing guest feedback and improving the experience through creativity and innovation. Visibility on the property is essential, with regular interaction with guests and team members.

Brand, Community, and Programming

Earth Riyadh is intended to become one of the city’s most distinctive lifestyle destinations. You will help shape activations across food and beverage, wellness, retail, music, art, and community events, while also building connections with creators, artists, wellness professionals, brands, and entrepreneurs.

Part of the role is to ensure the property remains true to the Earth Hotels identity, with an atmosphere rooted in creativity, inclusivity, connection, and lively daily programming.

Commercial Performance

You will be accountable for annual revenue, GOP, and EBITDA targets, along with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and asset protection. In close coordination with Revenue, Sales, and Marketing teams, you will work to improve occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and total hotel revenue.

The role also involves growing income from accommodation, destination dining, wellness, memberships, events, and retail. You will identify new partnerships and commercial opportunities that strengthen the brand and support profitability, including making the hotel’s restaurants, cafés, retail outlets, and wellness spaces stand out as destinations in their own right.

Leadership and Team Development

You will recruit, motivate, coach, and grow a strong leadership team while building a workplace culture that is collaborative, inclusive, entrepreneurial, and accountable. Succession planning and talent development will be important parts of the role, as will keeping team members engaged and empowered to contribute ideas.

Working with Citizen & Culture, you will help maintain high engagement and retention across the property and create an environment where the team feels ownership of the guest experience.

Brand Stewardship, Innovation, and Sustainability

As the top representative of Earth Hotels on site, you will protect the brand standard in every part of the hotel, from design and service style to guest energy and experiences. You will be expected to challenge traditional hospitality thinking and push continuous improvement across operations, guest engagement, technology, and sustainability.

You will also build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, suppliers, government stakeholders, and the surrounding community, while supporting sustainable practices and initiatives that create positive environmental and social impact.

Compliance and Reporting

The role requires full compliance with Saudi regulations, licensing requirements, health and safety laws, and Earth Hotels policies. You will keep the property ready for audits and inspections, manage emergency procedures, security protocols, and crisis planning, and make sure operational readiness is maintained at all times.

Regular reporting to ownership and corporate leadership will be part of the job, including updates on financial, operational, guest satisfaction, and people-related metrics. You will represent Earth Hotels professionally within the market and the wider hospitality sector, while leading by example and embodying the brand’s values.
