About the role
In this position, you will keep enterprise GIS platforms reliable, high-performing, and data accurate. The role covers spatial data operations, administration of systems in cloud and on-premise setups, and support for producing dependable geospatial outputs that inform business and client decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Run ArcGIS Enterprise environments across on-premise infrastructure as well as Azure and AWS, handling patching, monitoring, user permissions, and license administration.
- Oversee enterprise geodatabases, including versioning, reconciliation, replication, archiving, and controls that preserve data quality.
- Carry out spatial data migration tasks such as profiling, cleansing, transforming, validating, and publishing datasets.
- Create and maintain FME workspaces to automate ingestion, transformation, and integration processes.
- Write and support Python scripts for geoprocessing automation, platform maintenance, and data quality validation.
- Support spatial database work across MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and AWS RDS environments.
- Assist users with GIS tools, service publishing, and issue resolution, and escalate more complex problems when necessary.
- Keep documentation current, including data dictionaries, migration records, and operational runbooks aligned with governance requirements.
Required qualifications
- At least 4 years of practical experience administering ArcGIS Enterprise in production settings.
- Strong working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise components such as Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Data Store, and Web Adaptor.
- Proven capability in enterprise geodatabase administration, including versioning, replication, reconciliation, and archiving.
- Hands-on experience using FME for spatial data integration and workflow automation.
- Good command of MS SQL for spatial data management, with working familiarity with PostgreSQL, Azure SQL, and AWS RDS.
- Solid Python scripting skills for GIS automation.
- Experience using ArcGIS Pro for spatial analysis, editing, and publishing services.
Preferred experience
- Experience with ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, or comparable field data capture tools.
- Knowledge of OGC standards and GIS services that use REST interfaces.
- Exposure to cloud-based environments or regulated industry settings.
- Understanding of DevOps or CI/CD practices as applied to GIS platforms.
- Background in public sector, urban planning, or land administration work.
