Job description

Overview

Designer Parfums is an energetic, rapidly expanding fragrance business operating globally in the perfume and cosmetics sector. Headquartered in London, the company works across about 70 markets and combines a UK base with international growth ambitions.

This is a family-run organisation with a broad portfolio that spans heritage labels and celebrity-led fragrances. Its brand ownership and licensing portfolio includes GHOST, JENNIFER LOPEZ, HAWAIIAN TROPIC, CERRUTI, PLAYBOY, and JEAN LOUIS SCHERRER, while it also distributes ARIANA GRANDE, GUY LAROCHE, PALOMA PICASSO, AIGNER, and GANT.

The business values authenticity, agility, and approachability, and aims to create an environment where people can be themselves while contributing to strong business results.

Role purpose

This position offers a distinctive opportunity to help shape a potentially iconic new brand. The role involves hands-on work across innovation, from selecting fragrances and supporting product launches to developing global campaigns and new fragrance collections.

The ideal person will bring practical experience in operational work, a solid understanding of what a selective or niche brand requires, strong organisation, precision, and the willingness to contribute to both brand-building and operational delivery. The role also demands strong communication and teamwork, as it involves regular collaboration with other functions. Above all, the successful candidate will be motivated by the chance to gain deep brand management experience and help deliver outstanding projects and products.

Key duties

Take ownership of innovation projects from start to finish, including new fragrance launches, starting with fragrance selection and continuing through artwork and design completion, while working closely with cross-functional teams to achieve on-time, in-full delivery.

Lead the roll-out of communication plans for launches, making sure all activity reflects the brand direction and market developments.

Develop and improve the social media approach, including influencer activity, paid and organic performance, content development, and community interaction, to build visibility and consumer engagement.

Research and interpret consumer and market trends to shape new concepts, future launches, and stronger campaign performance.

Work with commercial teams to monitor campaign results, comparing sell-out performance, in-store activity, and media spend.

Turn strategic goals into clear, practical plans that help outperform competitors and increase market share.

Support and brief agency partners so they create fresh ideas, communications, and assets that connect with the intended audience.

Handle operational responsibilities such as budget tracking, licensor approvals, and upkeep of key brand tools including the Designer Parfums Cloud.

Make sure the brand is represented correctly across major online retailers, using current assets and following brand guidelines.

Prepare for important meetings by building presentations and organising product prototypes, fragrance lab samples, and display materials. At times, you may also need to present to internal or external stakeholders, adapting your style to suit the audience.

Build and preserve a strong working relationship with the licensor, serving as an important contact and ambassador for the brand.

Requirements

You should hold a degree in Marketing or Business.

A minimum of 4 years' experience in marketing is required, ideally within fragrance or beauty, with exposure to NPD.

Experience in social media and digital marketing is needed.

You need to be proactive and collaborative, with strong communication and presentation abilities.

Strong independence, resourcefulness, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are important.

You should be creative, interested in design, and highly detail-oriented.

Excellent project management ability and the flexibility to respond to changing priorities are essential.
