Role overview
The company is hiring a Content Director for its Maidenhead office. This is a senior leadership position with broad influence over content direction, execution, and capability building across international markets and major consumer brands.

Key responsibilities
- Own content strategy for priority brands, campaigns, and omnichannel activation plans.
- Design content ecosystems that reinforce brand growth across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Convert brand platforms and media strategies into effective content tailored to each channel.
- Work closely with Creative, Design, Media, and Brand teams to deliver distinctive campaigns with commercial impact.
- Create briefing frameworks, operating standards, and repeatable ways of working that lift quality and efficiency.
- Improve content performance across social, digital, e-commerce, CRM, shopper marketing, and video.
- Apply insight, analytics, and performance data to sharpen creative effectiveness over time.
- Develop modular and scalable content systems that improve speed, consistency, and return on investment across markets.
- Manage and grow Content Managers while helping build a strong content community across the organisation.
- Coordinate with external agencies, production partners, and freelancers to maintain high delivery standards.
- Promote innovation in content creation, including artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging tools.
- Support content operations, workflow oversight, budget efficiency, and KPI delivery across the Centre of Excellence.
Requirements
- Extensive senior-level experience in content strategy, creative leadership, campaign development, or content production.
- Strong experience in FMCG, consumer healthcare, retail, or another fast-moving consumer-led sector.
- Demonstrated ability to build integrated content strategies for digital and omnichannel environments.
- Strong understanding of paid, owned, and earned media, including social, e-commerce, video, and CRM.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to connect creative work to business and media goals.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders in matrixed organisations.
- Strong creative judgement and the confidence to give clear, constructive feedback across different content types.
- Experience leading teams and developing talent in fast-paced, international environments.
- Understanding of content operations, localisation, modular content systems, and scalable asset production.
- Familiarity with performance measurement, analytics, and optimisation methods for content.
- Interest in AI, automation, and new technologies shaping modern content creation.
- Fluent professional English; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
