Job description
Role Overview
This part-time position is designed for a hybrid work setup in Abu Dhabi, combining both in-person and remote responsibilities. The Governance Manager will strengthen the organization’s governance practices, support compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and contribute to better decision-making through structured oversight and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers preparation of board meeting agendas, accurate recording of minutes, upkeep of corporate policy documentation, and ensuring the organization remains aligned with legal and regulatory expectations. It also includes evaluating governance risks, reviewing the company’s governance setup, and offering practical recommendations to improve compliance and operational processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have a solid grasp of corporate governance, compliance oversight, and risk evaluation. Experience handling formal business documentation such as policies, regulations, and board-related materials is important. Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic planning abilities are required, along with clear verbal and written communication skills for preparing professional reports. The person should be comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment while balancing several priorities at once.
Education and Certifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Corporate Governance, or a related discipline is expected. Professional credentials in governance or compliance, such as CGEIT or ICSA, will be considered an advantage.
