Job description
Role overview
Mad River LTD is seeking a mid-level graphic designer to join its Bournemouth studio. The ideal candidate will bring broad creative capability, strong conceptual thinking, and a high standard of visual craft. This role calls for someone who can move a project smoothly from rough early concepts through to polished final artwork.
What the work involves
You will contribute to a wide mix of projects spanning brand identity, campaign creative, packaging, print, digital, motion, illustration, events, and experiential work. The position suits a designer who enjoys variety, can adapt easily across formats, and is comfortable balancing creativity with brand consistency and production accuracy.
What the team is looking for
The studio is looking for someone with strong layout skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to understand briefs quickly. You should be able to develop ideas conceptually, produce visually refined work, and ensure artwork is properly finished and ready for delivery. Confidence with a busy studio environment and client-facing collaboration is important.
Tools and working style
You should be comfortable using Adobe Creative Suite and confident presenting your ideas. The role also requires a positive attitude toward feedback, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to get involved wherever needed.
What matters most
Above all, the studio values designers who genuinely care about the idea, the quality of the craft, the precision of the detail, the team around them, and the work that reaches the public.
Application note
This is a full-time, studio-based role in Bournemouth. Candidates interested in the position should prepare a portfolio and a short introduction about themselves for submission.
