Role summary
Pharmacy Brands Canada is looking for a creative Graphic Designer to join its Marketing team and help bring its pharmacy brands to life through print and digital design. The role supports corporate marketing efforts, strengthens brand visibility, and helps independent pharmacies engage with the communities they serve.
The organization supports more than 280 independent pharmacies across Canada through a family of pharmacy banner brands. Its work includes marketing programs, business support, and brand development that help local pharmacy owners grow while keeping the personal service and community ties that define independent pharmacies.
This is a full-time hybrid position with three days each week in the Edmonton office and two days working remotely. The designer will contribute to a fast-moving, collaborative environment and work on a broad mix of creative projects.
Responsibilities
- Create a variety of marketing assets for both print and digital use, such as flyers, promotional campaigns, social media visuals, signage, ads, website graphics, email creative, presentations, and other branded materials.
- Help shape and deliver creative ideas that support pharmacy brands and make it easier for independent pharmacy owners to connect with local customers.
- Assist with the design and production of weekly flyers, seasonal catalogues, promotional signs, and other retail-focused marketing pieces as needed.
- Keep all visual output aligned with brand guidelines and ensure consistency across the company’s pharmacy banner portfolio.
- Work closely with internal teams, outside vendors, agency partners, and other stakeholders to deliver quality work on schedule and within budget.
- Take part in every stage of the creative workflow, from research and concepting to design, production, revisions, and final file handoff.
- Juggle several projects at once while staying accurate, organized, and deadline-focused in a busy environment.
- Keep up with current design trends, tools, and industry practices to improve the quality and impact of creative work.
- Provide design support for corporate initiatives, member pharmacy programs, and other marketing needs as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Microsoft Office.
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the field.
- Post-secondary diploma in Graphic Design or a closely related area.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and meet firm deadlines.
- Good problem-solving ability and a sharp eye for detail.
- Strong planning skills with the ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
- Comfortable working in a team environment and receptive to feedback and learning opportunities.
Work arrangement
This role follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week at the Edmonton office and two days working remotely. The position is full-time and based in Ontario, Canada as provided in the source, with the office schedule specified for Edmonton.
