Job description
Role Overview
Our client is looking for a Graphic Designer with a background in the beauty sector to support a long-term contract opportunity in the Greater Boston area. This role is centered on in-store graphics and visual merchandising, with occasional hands-on production responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities
- Create and refresh in-store graphics and visual merchandising materials.
- Develop packaging mechanicals and dielines that are prepared for vendor transfer.
- Build artwork in templated files for POS merchandising so it stays consistent across multiple display and graphic configurations.
- Track and manage projects through a project management system.
- Coordinate with vendors and share print specifications for packaging and merchandising deliverables.
- Apply a strong command of typography, color, and page composition while upholding brand standards.
- Check layouts, graphics, and fonts carefully before work is approved for release.
- Produce retailer merchandising projects in line with vendor requirements.
- Create and edit product packaging artwork files as needed.
- Handle typesetting, image resizing/manipulation, and art creation or modifications.
- Prepare and revise PowerPoint presentations for the Marketing team.
- Ready print, digital, merchandising, and packaging assets for final release.
Experience and Tool Requirements
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience and prior work in beauty-focused design. Strong proficiency is needed in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Keynote, and Wrike.
Additional Information
This is a long-term contract assignment based onsite in Greater Boston. The role may include some production-oriented work in addition to design responsibilities.
