Job description
Job Purpose
Develop and execute premium creative concepts for packaging, retail, social media, and campaign platforms, ensuring consistent brand storytelling and luxury standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong conceptual thinking, refined visual taste, packaging design expertise, and proficiency in AI-driven creative workflows. This role involves taking an idea from initial story and mood direction through to final artwork for packaging, retail applications, digital content, and overall rollout.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and develop visual stories and mood directions for various collections, campaigns, gifting occasions, and seasonal product launches.
- Translate narrative ideas into high-end packaging concepts, including the design of boxes, sleeves, labels, gift sets, and intricate packaging details.
- Construct packaging-centric visual systems that can be effectively extended to retail displays, key campaign visuals, social media assets, invitations, announcements, and digital content.
- Produce sketches, mockups, mood boards, key visuals, presentations, and final artwork to clearly communicate concepts from inception to completion.
- Ensure consistent adaptation of each concept across all brand touchpoints, including packaging, retail environments, social media, digital screens, print materials, and other relevant platforms.
Education
A degree, diploma, or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Packaging Design, or a closely related field is required.
Experience
- Possess 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in graphic design, with a preference for experience within the luxury, retail, FMCG, hospitality, confectionery, or other premium consumer brand sectors.
- Proven ability to translate concepts and narratives into premium packaging designs, retail visuals, social media assets, and campaign applications.
- Significant experience in handling packaging artwork, understanding dielines, supplier specifications, print production processes, and preparing final artwork.
- Demonstrated experience in integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools into the design workflow for ideation, creating mockups, generating imagery, and developing concepts.
- Experience in creating and directing AI-generated imagery for packaging concepts, campaign visuals, digital content, and social media applications.
Technical Competencies
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Solid understanding of color models (CMYK, RGB, Pantone), print production requirements, material choices, finishes, and artwork preparation standards.
- Good knowledge of social media content creation, visual storytelling techniques, and adapting content for various digital formats.
- Familiarity with working on Arabic and multilingual layouts, including Right-to-Left (RTL) content, is considered an advantage.
