Role overview
The Graphic Designer is a key member of the creative group and helps shape marketing content for Broadstreet Properties, Seymour Pacific Developments, affiliated brands, and the wider marketing function. Working with direction from the Senior Designer and alongside the Marketing and Communications team, this role focuses on creating, standardizing, and delivering polished media and collateral across multiple formats.
Key responsibilities
- Apply brand standards to produce marketing assets such as digital advertisements, flyers, brochures, logos, business cards, folders, posters, tent cards, stickers, signs, vehicle graphics, presentations, and other display materials.
- Prepare web-ready and print-ready outputs including JPEGs, PDFs, videos, charts, graphs, and related creative files.
- Blend multimedia ideas with technical graphic design execution.
- Plan and produce signage and marketing collateral for rental properties, including office branding, amenity branding, leasing materials, sell sheets, brochures, mesh banners, sandwich boards, yard signs, presentation plans, and billboards.
- Create website-facing media such as graphics, motion content, magazines, and video assets.
- Support the Marketing Administrator when dealing with print vendors to help ensure quality, timely production, and accurate shipping of printed materials.
- Partner with the Marketing Administrator to assess quotes and check proofs for correctness, compliance with brand standards, and competitive pricing.
Requirements
- Post-secondary training in graphic design.
- Background in marketing as a graphic designer or multimedia designer.
- Hands-on proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current graphic design methods, practices, techniques, and core principles.
- Strong visual design and conceptual thinking abilities.
- Good understanding of page layout and photo usage requirements.
- Solid knowledge of printing and publishing workflows and standards.
- Experience with video production and publishing.
- Strong ability to manage deadlines and coordinate projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Comfort working in shifting priorities and changing situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Compensation and benefits
Salary ranges from 58,400 to 73,000 CAD per year, depending on skills, education, and experience.
