Job description
Role overview
A leading workplace design studio is hiring a Graphic Designer to expand its creative team and help shape the studio’s visual and digital direction. This position is suitable for confident midweight as well as senior designers who can contribute original ideas, bring a digital mindset, and deliver polished work in a busy, design-focused setting.
The role blends established graphic design practice with new digital approaches, with a particular emphasis on experimentation, innovation, and the adoption of modern tools and technologies.
Responsibilities
- Create strong design outputs for branding, workplace, and communications work.
- Produce both print and digital materials, with increasing emphasis on digital-led and interactive design.
- Support the creation of motion-driven, UX-conscious, and experimental creative pieces.
- Work closely with senior designers and wider project teams to develop ideas and concepts.
- Manage tasks independently when needed, while also contributing effectively within a team.
- Investigate and apply AI tools and other emerging creative technologies in day-to-day workflows and final outputs.
- Contribute to the studio’s creative evolution beyond conventional graphic design methods.
Tools and software
The role requires confidence in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects. Familiarity with Adobe XD or similar prototyping tools is also expected. Experience with motion, interactive design tools, and AI-powered creative platforms will be an advantage.
What the studio is seeking
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in graphic design at midweight or senior level, supported by a strong portfolio that shows excellent fundamentals and creative problem-solving. A genuine interest in digital design, UX, motion, or interactive content is important, along with comfort using new platforms and emerging technologies, including AI.
Success in this role will also depend on the ability to balance creativity with commercial priorities and project deadlines, together with a proactive, curious approach and a willingness to explore new creative directions.
Compensation
The salary for this position is £55,000 per year.
