Job description

About the company

Kato is building an AI-driven servicing platform for lenders, designed from the ground up around regulatory compliance. Instead of treating compliance as a later add-on, the company starts with a rules-based foundation and then layers AI decision-making on top, enabling critical servicing workflows to run with strong guardrails and better recoveries.

The company’s first product is a compliance-first voice AI agent for both inbound and outbound loan servicing calls. It is already being used in production by well-known companies in fintech lending, including Bilt Rewards, Bluevine, and Parafin.

Kato is profitable, has strong unit economics, and takes a long-term approach to building the business. The team is backed by institutional investors and angel investors from leading technology companies.

The founders bring deep experience across financial services and engineering, including leadership backgrounds at Goldman Sachs, Brex, and Google.

Role overview

This full-time, in-person position in San Francisco Bay Area is focused on strengthening Kato’s go-to-market engine. Reporting directly to the CEO, the person in this role will help sharpen outbound strategy, expand conference efforts, and build the company’s brand presence from the ground up.

The role is ideal for someone who wants broad ownership, strong career growth, and the opportunity to shape how Kato is perceived in the lending industry. As the GTM engine matures, there may be room to grow deeper into sales or move into other high-impact parts of the business.

Key responsibilities

Approximately half of the role is centered on outbound and lead generation, with the remaining work split across content/marketing and sales operations.

  • Build and keep an up-to-date database of lending-market prospects and targets.
  • Own the full outbound process, including research, list creation, copy development, multi-channel outreach across email and LinkedIn, and ongoing message refinement.
  • Plan and execute conference activity such as outreach, promotional campaigns, and booth coordination.
  • Shape and manage the company’s content direction through blog articles, newsletters, and other top-of-funnel assets.
  • Support launch of marketing initiatives such as webinars and in-person events.
  • Set up and run nurture programs for older or inactive leads.
  • Maintain clean CRM records and track GTM performance metrics such as outbound conversion, pipeline speed, and meeting-to-opportunity conversion.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or a related discipline.
  • One to two years of experience in consulting or startup environments.
  • Experience in outbound sales or sales operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a high level of ownership and make steady progress independently.
  • Excellent organization, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Comfort using standard business tools such as Google Workspace and Slack; familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms is preferred.

Why this role stands out

  • Work closely with founders who have spent more than nine years building and scaling financial products.
  • Take ownership of meaningful revenue-driving work from the start and see the impact of your efforts quickly.
  • Focus on work that matters rather than busywork; the environment is demanding, but centered on real business outcomes.
  • Gain exposure to sales, GTM strategy, and startup execution at a depth that is uncommon in most roles.
