Job description
About the Role
This position sits within the Tech & Analytics organization, which builds the analytical and automation backbone behind LinkedIn’s key go-to-market decisions. The team works across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Engineering to create a shared view of GTM performance and to turn data into practical insights and intelligent systems that improve growth and efficiency.
The role supports LMS TPO, the group that creates and runs the platforms used by sales representatives to find insights and generate customer-facing reports. You will work on NEON, the discovery app that helps reps locate the right report or insight tool, and CIQ, the system that powers templated reports behind NEON. As part of a small APAC-based platform team, you will contribute across the stack, from frontend features and backend APIs to data tables, ETL pipelines, and infrastructure that keep the products dependable for a large sales user base.
Work Model
This is a hybrid role. Work is expected to be split between home and a LinkedIn office on selected days, based on business needs and team coordination.
What You Will Do
You will handle core software development work, including designing cross-platform solutions, writing design documentation, building full-stack features, creating custom UX components, extending API capabilities, integrating with internal and external platforms, and adding unit tests. You will work closely with the platform tech lead, engineers, technical peers, and business stakeholders.
The role also includes using AI development tools and modern coding assistants to speed up the software delivery lifecycle. A strong fit for this position is someone who can ship product improvements while also taking care of the platform foundations that support them.
Responsibilities
- Design and scale distributed systems while making informed trade-offs between synchronous and asynchronous patterns.
- Build and maintain high-volume, highly available applications that are expected to run continuously.
- Write reliable, well-tested code that goes through review and is merged regularly to support continuous integration.
- Look for ways to improve engineering productivity and promote the use of agentic and AI-assisted coding tools.
Requirements
- A BA/BS in Computer Science, another related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in software design, development, and algorithmic problem solving.
- 3+ years of professional experience using Python and JavaScript or TypeScript.
- 3+ years of experience building and operating production web applications and REST APIs.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Experience with object-oriented design, testing practices, and programming languages such as Java or C++.
- Ability to write strong code in a high-level language and adapt to other languages when needed.
- Hands-on experience with modern React frameworks, with Next.js preferred.
- Working knowledge of distributed or big-data SQL engines such as Trino or Presto, columnar OLAP systems like Apache Pinot, and workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azkaban.
- Experience building web applications and services with AI IDEs and modern development workflows.
- Exposure to launching agentic workflows in enterprise production environments.
