Role overview
This position is for a guest service driver based in Dubai Marina, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It sits within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations function and is a full-time, non-management role.
What you will do
- Drive hotel guests to and from scheduled destinations using the hotel vehicle.
- Keep clear records of every trip before and after each journey.
- Park hotel vehicles in the assigned location when they are not in use.
- Check hotel vehicles for damage and make sure they remain clean.
- Monitor tyre pressure and fluid levels, and refuel vehicles when needed.
- Inform the appropriate team members about any maintenance work required on the vehicles.
- Record any vehicle-related incidents such as damage or accidents and submit incident reports to the manager or supervisor.
- Report accidents, injuries, and any unsafe working conditions to management, and complete any required safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company and brand safety policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, and injuries as soon as they are identified.
- Maintain a clean, professional uniform and appearance.
- Protect confidential information and safeguard company assets.
- Support colleagues and treat everyone with dignity and respect.
- Work together with the team to achieve shared goals.
- Meet quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Handle physical duties that may include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing items up to 50 lbs (22.7 kg) without assistance.
- Assist with moving items heavier than 75 lbs (34 kg).
- Remain standing, seated, or walking for extended periods or for an entire shift.
- Move quickly when work situations require it, including running, walking, or jogging.
- Read and verify information in different formats, including small print.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machinery to identify defects.
- Grip, turn, and handle objects of different sizes and weights with strong hand-eye coordination.
- Reach above the head and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Work in narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
- Move across sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
- Climb up and down stairs and service ramps.
- Use manual dexterity and gross motor skills continuously, with frequent bilateral coordination.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards.
- Speak clearly, appropriately, and professionally, and answer telephone calls using proper etiquette.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by managers that are consistent with the role.
Qualifications
The preferred education level is a high school diploma or equivalent. No related work experience or supervisory experience is required. A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
