Overview
MJM Industrial is hiring an experienced Handyman for ongoing work at Heathrow Airport. The position covers both airside and landside areas and suits a practical, multi-skilled person who can handle a range of maintenance tasks in busy live environments.
The assignment is paid at £21.00 per hour, with higher rates for night shifts and weekend work. The schedule includes a mix of days, nights, and weekends.
Role Summary
You will be responsible for carrying out general building maintenance to a strong standard across active site locations. The work is hands-on and varied, with duties changing based on project needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building fabric maintenance, such as patch repairs, small plumbing tasks, basic carpentry, painting, and decorating.
- Handle reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and project-related tasks within the required deadlines.
- Restore and repair floor and wall finishes where needed.
- Complete ceiling tile repairs and replacements.
- Carry out other building and installation tasks as required by the site.
- Answer client questions, report defects, and provide progress updates during service visits.
- Keep all job records accurate, including inspection paperwork and remedial work logs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities management setting.
- A valid CSCS card.
- Availability and flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to provide a 5-year work history for Heathrow clearance checks.
