Role Overview

This position focuses on hands-on technical support for end-user devices and workplace hardware in a remote contract setup based in Nairobi County, Kenya. The role supports the smooth running of office technology, network-connected equipment, and smart workplace systems while ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and documented properly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve issues affecting desktops, laptops, printers, mobile phones, and peripheral devices across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
  • Handle the issuance, return, replacement, and removal of company devices in line with internal procedures.
  • Deliver everyday technical assistance to users and work with Level 2 support teams when problems require deeper analysis.
  • Carry out basic setup, upkeep, and fault-finding for office infrastructure services such as printing, connectivity, voice systems, and platform-related services.
  • Install, verify, and maintain network hardware including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, NAC, DNS, and out-of-band devices.
  • Investigate and fix Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity problems.
  • Support smart office tools such as digital signage, smart sensors, and smart metering solutions.
  • Assist with PABX tasks while working alongside remote support teams.
  • Receive, install, test, and troubleshoot printers, audiovisual equipment, and workplace monitors.
  • Provide onsite support during planned maintenance windows and urgent escalations.
  • Work with vendors and external service providers for repairs, substitutions, and equipment replacement.
  • Keep incident records accurate and up to date, and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing efforts.
  • Accompany approved third-party personnel into data rooms and other secure technical spaces.
  • Support internal audits, external audits, compliance checks, and SOX-related requirements.
