About the Company

Mondrian Doha is a vibrant hospitality destination in the Doha Metropolitan Area, known for its energetic atmosphere across multiple food, beverage, and nightlife venues. The property spans eight different outlets and serves guests for social gatherings, celebrations, and business events.

Role Summary

This position supports the Director of Food & Beverage, or another authorized manager, in delivering warm, efficient, and high-quality food and beverage service. The role focuses on meeting guest expectations, following service standards, and reflecting the Mondrian Doha vision at all times.

Key Duties

  • Keep daily restaurant operations running smoothly.
  • Support the restaurant leadership team in driving strong guest satisfaction.
  • Lead and direct servers in the outlet.
  • Step in regularly to perform supervisory duties.
  • Increase sales by promoting additional items and encouraging upselling.
  • Protect cash floats and ensure they remain secure at all times.
  • Operate within approved cost budgets.
  • Reduce unnecessary wear and misuse of operating equipment.
  • Make sure supply requisitions are prepared, received, and properly tracked.
  • Limit overtime usage wherever possible.
  • Ensure sufficient operating equipment is available at all times.
  • Document all voids and escalate payment mismatches to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Follow company procedures for handling cash, cards, and cheques.
  • Address guest complaints and report them to the manager.
  • Coordinate with colleagues regarding guest needs and special requests.
  • Ensure proper handover at the start and end of each shift.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate regularly with Reception.
  • Collect guest feedback continuously.
  • Prepare a complete update of the day’s events in the Management Report Book.
  • Build a professional and respectful relationship with repeat guests.
  • Maintain a strong guest-facing presence and respond quickly and politely to comments, questions, complaints, and enquiries.
  • Stay fully aware of guest preferences to support efficient and friendly service.
  • Maintain strong standards of quality and consistency across food, beverages, service, and cleanliness.
  • Support other hotel revenue areas, including Rooms and Events.
  • Remain outcome-oriented and fully responsible for assigned results.
  • Attend daily business reviews, weekly strategic sales meetings, management meetings, and other required sessions.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure hotel assets are properly maintained and protected.
  • Help ensure the business is viewed positively by local community influencers.
  • Perform any other related duties that fit the role’s scope and purpose.

Requirements

  • Strong ability to stay focused on guest needs while remaining calm and courteous.
  • Prior experience working in a restaurant or food and beverage environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts depending on outlet and business needs.
