Role overview
Dunbia Treburley is seeking a Hides Operative to join its established hides team in Treburley, England. This position focuses on preparing cattle hides for the next stage of processing by carrying out chilling, salting, and weighing tasks. There may also be occasions where you help with loading lorries for despatch.
Working pattern
The standard schedule runs Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The company may offer extra hours depending on customer requirements, so flexibility is important. Overtime starts after 37.5 hours and is paid at an enhanced rate.
Pay
Starting pay is between £12.71 and £12.90 per hour.
What the role involves
- Sorting cattle hides and preparing them for onward processing.
- Chilling, salting, and weighing hides.
- Supporting loading activities for despatch when needed.
- Working in a busy environment and following supervision while using your own initiative.
Person specification
No previous experience is required, but applicants should have a strong work ethic and a proactive attitude.
