Overview

Mabey Hire is a long-established temporary works specialist with more than 60 years of experience delivering engineering-led service and solutions. The company supports a broad customer base that includes civil engineering and construction contractors, asset owners, consulting engineers, and smaller builders. This opening is for a Hire Desk Controller based in the Glasgow area, supporting the expanding Hire Desk Sales Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and a service-focused approach that helps improve performance and support revenue growth.
  • Carry out outbound telesales activity to help raise sales volumes.
  • Enhance customer service standards by helping to reduce non-conformance reports.
  • Track depot transport operations and help ensure resources are used in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
  • Follow health and safety requirements and help maintain compliance across the depot.

Requirements

  • GCSE-level education.
  • Minimum 12 months of experience in customer service and sales.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good problem-solving ability.
  • Active listening skills.
  • Comfortable using IT systems.
