Role overview
Unilever is looking for a Process Engineer to help raise industrial performance and contribute to work that supports both business growth and a better world. This position is suited to someone who wants to improve manufacturing efficiency, strengthen standards, and drive meaningful change across operations.

What you will do
- Put safety and environmental controls in place for people, processes, materials, products, and equipment to maintain a secure working environment.
- Study, design, and develop new equipment and process solutions.
- Create and maintain standards for operations and technical practices.
- Design, refine, and optimize industrial processes from early concept through certification.
- Manage schedules, budgets, and other time and cost limitations.
- Ensure alignment with internal policies as well as external rules and regulations.
- Carry out risk evaluations for equipment and operating processes.
- Collect operational data, prepare reports, and share findings with senior leaders.
- Review current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Improve productivity by planning, implementing, and validating new procedures.
- Document changes made to process outputs and production activities.
- Monitor performance indicators to identify gaps and track improvements.
- Present observations and recommendations to upper management.
- Use process simulation tools to evaluate and select suitable production approaches.
- Prepare clear instructions to support the rollout of process changes.
- Support zero-loss and zero-waste goals on assigned production lines.
- Build standards for line operations, technical practices, and loss methodology.
- Train line operators, support their development plans, and assess their capability.
- Analyze loss data in line with the MMP Code.
- Follow up daily on line performance and loss reporting.
- Take part in trials and industrial testing for new packaging materials, raw materials, and finished products.
- Contribute to equipment upgrade projects and the acquisition of new machinery.
What we are looking for
- A degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering, with a solid technical foundation.
- Strong ability with numbers, analysis, and problem-solving.
- A continuous improvement mindset.
- Coaching and people development capability.
- Basic technical understanding with the ability to learn more advanced concepts.
- Experience or aptitude in data analysis.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to identify, assess, and resolve problems effectively.
- Comfort using computers and information technology tools.
- Familiarity with process engineering software.
- Working knowledge of relevant health and safety rules.
Preferred experience
- Exposure to loss elimination initiatives.
- Background in production environments.
- Ability to use simulation tools to analyze production line stoppages.
