Role overview

Iceland Foods is looking for a Home Delivery Driver in Queensferry, Wales. This is a hands-on, customer-facing position for someone who enjoys being active, working independently, and interacting with people while out on the road.

The hourly pay for this role is £13.71.

What the role involves

In this position, you will be responsible for delivering shopping to customers and representing the business as the face of Iceland during each delivery. The job combines driving, customer service, safe vehicle handling, and practical support in-store when needed.

  • Follow correct van-loading procedures, including manual handling and heavy lifting where required.
  • Drive safely and always follow road-safety practices.
  • Carry out regular van checks before and during use.
  • Make sure groceries reach customers in excellent condition.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service at every stop.
  • Support the store team whenever additional help is needed.
  • Work effectively on your own and manage your time well.
  • Be available to work varying shifts, with working hours that can fall between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.

Applicants should bring a positive attitude, a friendly approach, and a genuine commitment to customer care. You should be reliable, able to meet deadlines, and comfortable working with a strong focus on safety.

  • Hold a full driving licence for at least 3 years.
  • Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
  • Be upbeat, approachable, and committed to creating a good customer experience.
  • Arrive on time and work well to deadlines.
  • Show strong awareness of road safety.
