Role overview
Iceland Foods is looking for a Home Delivery Driver in Hartlepool to join its team on an hourly paid, full-time basis. The position pays £13.71 per hour and is suited to someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, and interacting with customers while out on the road.
The job focuses on delivering groceries safely and in excellent condition while representing the company as the customer-facing point of contact. You will be part of a business that values its people and is known for strong customer care and team support.
Key responsibilities
- Load the vehicle safely and follow correct manual handling practices, including handling heavier items.
- Drive in line with all road safety and safe driving requirements.
- Carry out routine van checks before and during shifts.
- Make sure orders reach customers in the best possible condition.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service on every drop.
- Support store operations whenever extra help is needed.
- Work independently and organise your time efficiently.
- Be flexible with shift patterns, which may fall anywhere between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm.
What we are looking for
- A full driving licence that has been held for at least 3 years and has no more than 6 penalty points.
- A positive, approachable attitude and a genuine focus on customer satisfaction.
- Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good awareness of road safety and responsible driving habits.
