About the Role

Begin your career in food and beverage front-of-house operations with Qatar Duty Free, a premier destination at Hamad International Airport. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a positive and welcoming first impression. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests and efficiently manage seating arrangements, ensuring a seamless dining experience.

Operational Accountabilities

• Welcome, greet, and escort guests to their tables, presenting menus with a positive demeanor and professional body language.
• Manage guest information and provide accurate estimates of waiting times when tables are not immediately available.
• Handle table bookings and dining reservations, both in advance and upon arrival.
• Monitor dining sections for available and prepared tables for incoming guests.
• Coordinate with service staff and kitchen teams to prepare for guest arrivals based on the reservation list.
• Ensure dining facilities are consistently clean and well-maintained.
• Collect guest feedback through comment cards and compile reports for management review and service improvement.
• Answer telephone inquiries regarding the menu and restaurant, providing timely and accurate information.
• Regularly check and update menus to ensure they are current and presented according to company standards.
• Observe table statuses, keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables, and remain available to assist guests.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of airport facilities and services to assist guests with their queries.
• Foster effective communication with all relevant departments to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Engage with guests upon arrival and departure to guarantee a positive dining experience.
• Deliver consistently professional, friendly, warm, and engaging service.
• Adhere strictly to grooming and appearance standards at all times.
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures.
• Accept and process takeaway orders, if applicable.
• Undertake other departmental duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
