Role summary
This position is for a Housekeeper based in a Horizon North camp facility. The work schedule follows a two-week-on, two-week-off rotation, with 10-hour shifts each day. Transportation to the site is provided from a designated pickup point. The role reports to the Head Housekeeper and Lodge Manager and is responsible for maintaining a very high standard of cleanliness across the facility.
This is a future opportunity for the company’s project in Moosonee, Ontario.
Key duties
- Complete walk-through cleaning duties, covering 30 or more rooms per day depending on guest occupancy.
- Provide full housekeeping support in guest rooms and hallways.
- Make beds and replace linens weekly, or more often when needed.
- Vacuum and dust furniture, blinds, and hallway areas.
- Clean, scrub, and sanitize bathrooms, windows, and mirrors.
- Remove waste from sleeping areas, including garbage and recycling.
- Wash and fold towels, linens, and bedding.
- Load and unload laundry, linen, and supply trucks.
- Keep accurate records of bedding assigned in the lodge, support inventory checks, and report shortages to the Lodge Manager.
Schedule and working conditions
The role offers a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation and 10-hour workdays. Travel time is compensated. Applicants should be comfortable with physically demanding work, including standing for long periods and lifting up to 35 pounds.

Qualifications
Candidates should have at least 6 months of janitorial or housekeeping experience. Experience in a remote lodge, hotel, or institutional setting is preferred, and commercial cleaning experience is an advantage. Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Applicants must be able to work independently with limited supervision as well as collaborate with others. A passing score of 80% or higher on the mandatory WHMIS test is required.
