Housekeeper

About the Role

Crothall Healthcare is looking to hire full-time Housekeepers for the Surgical Institute of Reading in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. This role is focused on keeping healthcare spaces clean, safe, and orderly while supporting patients, visitors, and staff with reliable service. The position offers mid and evening shifts, and work schedules may vary by day. Rotating weekends and holidays may be required.

Compensation

The position pays a fixed rate of $17.75 per hour.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time role. Shift timing includes mid and evening schedules, with hours and days subject to change. Further schedule details will be shared during the interview.

Primary Duties

The housekeeper will perform routine cleaning tasks in a clinical environment, including maintaining rooms, halls, and common areas in a tidy and sanitary condition. The role also involves responding to cleaning-related concerns and supporting a professional service experience for customers and guests.

• Deliver attentive customer service and respond to individual needs with care.
• Sweep, scrub, mop, and polish floors.
• Vacuum carpets, rugs, and draperies.
• Shampoo carpets, rugs, and upholstery.
• Dust and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean metal fixtures and fittings.
• Empty trash containers and dispose of waste safely and hygienically.
• Clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs, and showers.
• Wipe down glass surfaces.
• Make beds and replace linens as needed.
• Restore furniture and amenities to their assigned layout.
• Handle guest questions and requests promptly.
• Respond to housekeeping issues such as spills or broken glass.
• Work collaboratively with the team and maintain a professional attitude.
• Carry out additional assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements

This role requires prior housekeeping experience in a clinical setting. Candidates should be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation. Some positions may also require Florida Level 2 background screening.
