Role Summary

The Housekeeping Associate will be responsible for keeping guest rooms and common areas clean, safe, and presentable at Hyatt Place Bhopal. This is a full-time, on-site position in Bhopal. The job involves preparing rooms for guest arrivals, carrying out cleaning routines, managing laundry-related tasks, and helping maintain brand standards throughout the property.

Key Duties

  • Prepare guest rooms by making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting surfaces, vacuuming, and replenishing supplies and amenities.
  • Ensure rooms and public areas are maintained in line with the hotel’s presentation and quality expectations.
  • Handle laundry work such as collecting, washing, drying, ironing, sorting, and organizing linens and guest items as needed.
  • Report any maintenance concerns or damage promptly to the relevant team.
  • Follow all hygiene, sanitation, safety, and housekeeping procedures consistently.
  • Coordinate with the front office and other departments to support guest needs and special requests.
  • Maintain a courteous, professional manner while interacting with guests and coworkers.
  • Work efficiently with strong attention to detail and good time management.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong organizational ability and careful attention to detail.
  • Practical housekeeping and laundry handling skills, including linen care and cleaning routines.
  • Good communication and customer-facing behavior.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and support training activities when required.
  • Awareness of cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety standards in hospitality.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift as part of daily duties, while following safety guidance.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, depending on hotel requirements.
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or hospitality is an advantage, though not essential.

Workplace Environment

The role is based at the hotel property in Bhopal and requires a hands-on approach in a busy hospitality setting. The position involves close coordination with different departments to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations.
