Job description

About the role

Ruby is a rapidly expanding hospitality brand that runs hotels and workspaces across some of Europe’s most dynamic cities, with additional projects in development. The company follows a “Lean Luxury” approach, aiming to deliver a modern, stylish, and accessible luxury experience.

The business places strong value on individuality, personality, and collaboration, and it looks for people who bring character, energy, and a genuine team spirit to work.

What you will do

  • Spend much of your shift on the floor, inspecting guest rooms and shared areas to ensure they are spotless and well maintained.
  • Take over the duties of the Housekeeping Operations Manager when they are unavailable.
  • Share responsibility for the housekeeping team, including both in-house staff and outsourced cleaning partners, and help keep everyone aligned.
  • Coach and support the team so that quality standards are consistently met and followed.
  • Help coordinate external cleaning vendors, manage orders, and verify incoming delivery invoices.
  • Work closely with hosts and hotel maintenance teams to respond to guest needs and requests.

What the company is looking for

The ideal candidate already has prior experience in a similar housekeeping leadership role. A strong sense of cleanliness, order, and attention to detail is essential. The role also suits someone who carries themselves confidently, brings positivity and humour to the workplace, and feels comfortable serving international guests with tact and flexibility. Fluency in English is required.

Benefits and culture

Ruby promotes a people-first, personality-driven workplace and encourages employees to bring their authentic style, ideas, and individuality to work. Team connection is also a key part of the culture, whether during day-to-day work or team events.

The company offers a 35-hour full-time week, sports support, special staff hotel rates for you and a travel companion, a Ruby food-and-beverage credit, a mobility allowance, and the chance to earn extra through talent scouting and positive guest reviews. Employees can also access training, coaching, and mentoring, and the company supports a modern, paperless, cashless way of working.

Additional information

Ruby welcomes applicants with different backgrounds, personalities, and ways of thinking, and values diversity, equity, and inclusion. The company states that discrimination, including racism, sexism, heterosexism, antisemitism, and similar behavior, is not tolerated.
