Job description
Position Summary
This role supports room attendants in keeping guest rooms clean and ensuring a safe, tidy, and welcoming atmosphere for guests, visitors, and fellow team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep housekeeping carts stocked with enough linens, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities, replenishing items as needed and delivering supplies to room attendants.
- Collect trash and other waste gathered by room attendants and move it to the correct disposal area.
- Gather soiled linens and used glasses from room attendants, take them to laundry, and provide fresh linens and glasses when needed.
- Work with the Rooms Controller and Inspectors to prepare special rooms.
- Prepare maintenance tickets for issues that housekeeping cannot resolve.
- Handle guest requests promptly and efficiently, and connect them with the right person when direct help is not possible.
- Stay familiar with the location of all hotel facilities, guest rooms, and emergency procedures, and be ready to support the MOD during emergencies.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by the housekeeping supervisor or management.
Work Environment
The job is performed indoors. While handling cleaning chemical containers and cleaning rooms, the employee may come into contact with chemical mixtures.
