Role Overview
The organization is looking for a hands-on Human Resource Business Partner who is comfortable working closely with managers and employees and can deliver reliable support across the employee lifecycle. This role is focused on practical HR execution, relationship-building, and consistent application of people processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employee relations issues with balanced judgment, consistency, and adherence to policy and relevant employment law.
- Lead or support objective workplace investigations and document outcomes clearly and accurately.
- Work with managers on corrective action plans and performance improvement efforts.
- Act as a trusted advisor for managers on everyday people matters, including feedback conversations, team dynamics, attendance issues, conduct concerns, and performance challenges.
- Help leaders strengthen their confidence and consistency in people management.
- Support the full performance management cycle, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end calibration, and performance improvement planning.
- Partner with HR Operations on leave administration, accommodation requests, and return-to-work coordination.
- Maintain accurate employee data in Workday and ensure HR administrative tasks are completed on time.
- Serve as an approachable contact for employees and identify recurring concerns or trends that can inform broader HR strategy.
- Apply HR policies consistently and raise unusual situations or compliance risks to senior HR partners or Employee Relations when needed.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience as a strategic Human Resources Business Partner.
- Prior exposure to senior directors and managers in areas such as talent strategy, employee relations, performance management, leadership coaching, and compensation review.
- Experience working in an organization with 1,000 or more employees.
- Experience with Suite systems.
- Background supporting a go-to-market or sales-focused business.
- Strong communication skills across all levels, from executives to individual contributors.
- Highly organized with strong time management skills and the ability to shift priorities quickly.
- Able to build credibility fast and develop strong working relationships.
- Comfortable operating in the day-to-day details of the role.
- Available to work approximately 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST, with some flexibility from the hiring manager.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary range for this role is $97,760 to $104,000. Final pay may vary based on factors such as location, market conditions, skills, education, experience, and other relevant qualifications.
Benefits for eligible employees include medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, 5 personal days accrued each calendar year, 10 to 15 days of paid vacation, 6 paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday per year. The paid time off package is intended to satisfy applicable paid sick and safe time requirements for the city or state.
