Role Summary
This full-time, on-site Human Resources Administrator position is based in the New York City Metropolitan Area. The role supports core HR operations on a day-to-day basis, including employee record maintenance, management of HR documents, and assistance with onboarding and offboarding. It also involves helping with benefits enrollment, handling employee questions, supporting compliance activities tied to labor and employment regulations, updating HRIS information, preparing routine reports, and contributing to HR projects that improve employee experience and operational effectiveness. The role works closely with HR leadership, payroll, and other internal teams to ensure timely and accurate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee files and HR records with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Organize, update, and track HR documentation throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities for employees.
- Assist with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee communication about benefit options.
- Respond to employee queries and provide general HR administrative support.
- Keep HRIS data current, accurate, and properly audited.
- Help ensure HR processes follow applicable labor and employment requirements.
- Prepare standard HR reports and support routine administrative reporting.
- Contribute to HR initiatives that improve service quality and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with HR leadership, payroll, and internal stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications
- Practical knowledge of HR operations and employee lifecycle support.
- Experience handling benefits administration, including enrollments and changes.
- Comfort working with HRIS platforms to enter, update, and verify employee information.
- Working understanding of labor and employment law concepts relevant to HR administration.
- Strong organization, documentation, and time-management abilities.
- High attention to detail and the judgment to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills for professional interaction across teams.
- Ability to use standard productivity tools such as MS Office or Google Workspace.
- Experience in a technology or SaaS setting is an added advantage.
- Capacity to work on site in the New York City Metropolitan Area.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR, or progress toward one, is a plus.
