Role Summary

The Human Resources Consultant position at HVNLY HOMES is a part-time, remote opportunity centered on strategic and hands-on HR support. In this role, you will advise leadership on HR policy, employment practices, and compliance with labor and employment laws. You will help create, refine, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure consistent and fair workplace practices. The role also includes managing employee relations issues, coaching managers, supporting conflict resolution, and helping sustain an inclusive and positive work culture. Additional responsibilities include performing HR audits, assisting with workforce planning, guiding performance management efforts, and recommending HR approaches that support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide leadership on HR policies, workforce practices, and legal compliance matters.
  • Create, revise, and maintain HR procedures, handbooks, and workplace guidelines.
  • Support employee relations by assisting with conflict resolution and manager coaching.
  • Help foster a respectful, inclusive, and productive workplace environment.
  • Carry out HR audits and identify areas where processes can be strengthened.
  • Contribute to workforce planning and performance management support.
  • Recommend practical HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Solid background in Human Resources and HR management, with experience supporting leaders and organizational people needs.
  • Hands-on experience with HR policy development, implementation, and regular updates.
  • Experience in employee relations, including mediation, coaching, and workplace issue resolution.
  • Working understanding of labor and employment law and how to apply it in HR practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and consulting abilities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, along with sound judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting with strong organization and time management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; HR certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR is preferred.
