Job description

Role overview

This is a Human Resources Generalist-level contract position with a likely duration of 6 months or longer. There is also a possibility of moving into a full-time role depending on contract performance and the value delivered during the assignment. The job is based at the Boise Corporate Office of the client and follows a 4-day onsite, 1-day remote work arrangement each week.

Key responsibilities

  • Keep HR records accurate and current, including running data quality checks, spotting opportunities to improve workflows, and partnering with HR leadership to simplify processes.
  • Handle electronic HR transactions such as transfers, job changes, promotions, and related personnel actions.
  • Maintain digital employee files by organizing and scanning documents into the correct records.
  • Process payroll-related service tickets, including pay corrections and compensation inquiries.
  • Support compensation and benefits administration through job code updates, job duty review, and escalation of bonus-related issues.
  • Track and report HR data and metrics related to performance management, PIPs, succession planning, DEI, and growth plans.
  • Assist the HR Business Partner team with communication, monitoring, and tracking of performance management activities, including PIP follow-up and introductory performance discussions for non-exempt employees.
  • Act as a point of coordination between Talent Acquisition and hiring managers, validate job descriptions, and support onboarding activities, including new hire forms and I-9 verification.
  • Track DE&I metrics and support related communications.
  • Prepare compliance training reports, follow up on completion, and help facilitate training sessions such as Leading with Inclusion workshops and Presence with a Purpose.
  • Help organize, run, and support employee culture and engagement initiatives.
  • Assist with HR projects, including content creation, presentation deck preparation, and data analysis.

Qualifications and experience

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience in an HR-related role, ideally 3 to 5 years, is preferred.
  • Strong planning, organization, analytical thinking, and critical reasoning skills are required.
  • Ability to communicate findings and recommendations clearly and professionally.
  • Comfort following verbal and written instructions accurately.
  • Working knowledge of office policies, procedures, and standard workplace operations.
  • Good understanding of office environments and experience using personal computers and PC-based systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Access, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive HR information appropriately.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in person and by phone.
  • Understanding of EEO/AA practices and employment law.
  • Strong customer service orientation and a high level of attention to detail.

Work arrangement and additional details

The role is structured as an onsite/remote hybrid schedule, with four days each week at the Boise corporate office and one remote day. The assignment runs for at least six months and may be extended, with potential conversion to a regular full-time position based on contract delivery and overall contribution.
