Job description

About C8 Health

C8 Health is a healthcare implementation platform built to bring proven best practices into clinical organizations. Using AI, the company helps make those practices available to providers wherever and whenever they are needed, with the goal of improving consistency of care, strengthening patient outcomes, and reducing overall cost of care.

Established in 2022 and supported by venture funding, C8 Health works with major health systems such as Mount Sinai, Brigham & Women's Hospital, Metro Health, UTMB, and Dartmouth Health. The company operates with a fast pace, frequent iteration, and a strong commitment to meaningful work.

Role Overview

The Implementation Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end technical and operational delivery of customer onboarding. This is a hands-on execution position focused on getting implementations completed successfully and on time, while also helping create the processes needed to scale the onboarding function.

You will partner closely with a dedicated Customer Success Manager on each account. While the CSM owns the executive relationship and long-term account planning, you will own the build work: configuring the platform, coordinating technical integrations, managing timelines, and keeping stakeholders aligned through each stage of the rollout.

As implementations become more technically involved, including SSO, SFTP-based data exchanges, and policy system integrations, this role acts as the connector between customer IT teams and the internal engineering team. You are not expected to code integrations from scratch, but you will need to understand the requirements, manage them from the customer side, and know when to escalate issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead platform setup for a portfolio of onboarding customers and ensure each implementation reaches go-live on time with a strong customer experience.
  • Coordinate technical work for SSO, SFTP, and related integration processes, including gathering requirements, communicating with hospital IT teams, and handling configuration-related escalations.
  • Keep stakeholders accountable by following up proactively with customer champions and internal teams to move each phase forward while maintaining trust.
  • Work alongside the Customer Success Manager to scope expectations accurately, plan customizations, and raise risks early.
  • Improve the implementation workflow by documenting repeatable setup steps, spotting bottlenecks, and identifying where automation could help.
  • Introduce phase-gate controls into onboarding by defining milestones, dependencies, and go/no-go criteria that are agreed to at the start.
  • Maintain strong communication and effective handoffs across customers and internal teams.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in implementation, technical onboarding, or account management within a SaaS company, ideally in environments where integrations were part of the work such as SSO, APIs, or data feeds.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with clinicians or administrators in hospital-based healthcare, with familiarity in how health systems and their IT and clinical stakeholders operate.
  • Working knowledge of SSO/SAML setup, SFTP-based data workflows, and API integration concepts, with the ability to interpret documentation, ask effective questions, and drive resolution.
  • Interest in AI tools and using them to improve daily efficiency.
  • Strong project management ability, including experience with tools like Jira, HubSpot, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to create accountability in customer-facing projects without causing friction.
  • Comfort working through technical details, reading integration specifications, and serving as a bridge between customer IT and internal engineering.
  • Strong documentation habits and a process-oriented mindset focused on standardization and automation.
  • Ability to work effectively in complex stakeholder environments and plan ahead for obstacles.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage several parallel workstreams without missing details.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills across clinical, technical, and internal audiences.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and comfortable working through ambiguity and setbacks.

Success Metrics

Within the first 90 days, you should take ownership of an active implementation portfolio, complete your first go-live, and create an initial inventory of manual configuration tasks that could be automated. By six months, you should be running implementations independently, with a clear phase-gate process that reduces delays and a growing library of integration runbooks that speed up future onboarding.

Additional Information

This is a full-time remote position with domestic travel. The compensation range is $85,000 to $95,000 per year.
