Role overview

This is a replacement position within the global Commercial team. The role focuses on building new customer relationships across the APAC region and contributing directly to Elliptic’s growth. The selected candidate will become well-versed in the company’s value proposition and help prospects understand how Elliptic supports entry into the cryptocurrency market while navigating compliance and regulatory requirements.

The role covers the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation, proposal development, and deal closure. It is suited to someone who is energised by sales, enjoys working in a fast-moving and emerging market, and wants to make a visible impact on both the business and the wider market.

Key responsibilities

  • Create new business opportunities and identify chances to expand existing accounts.
  • Design and execute a market-entry approach for target segments, including prospecting and ownership of the complete sales cycle.
  • Reach out to prospects proactively to uncover and qualify opportunities.
  • Generate strong-quality leads throughout APAC.
  • Prepare tailored proposals aligned to customer needs and requirements.
  • Run presentations and product demos for potential clients.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and move opportunities through to close.
  • Consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales quotas.

First 6 months expectations

  • Develop a healthy pipeline of qualified net-new opportunities within target markets.
  • Put in place a disciplined outbound prospecting motion and execute it consistently.
  • Own inbound SMB opportunities so enterprise sellers can focus on larger deals.
  • Secure early wins and demonstrate momentum toward quota attainment.
  • Build productive relationships with internal teams including product, marketing, and customer success.

What you should bring

  • A solid understanding of how a customer’s business works and where digital assets fit into that strategy.
  • The ability to interpret data and spot trends and opportunities in crypto and compliance markets.
  • Experience assessing customer needs and shaping proposals that match those requirements.
  • A collaborative, action-oriented approach with the ability to solve problems quickly across teams.
  • Energy, pace, and a team-first attitude that helps build commitment and momentum.
  • Comfort with complex B2B sales approaches and methodologies.
  • A self-driven mindset, adaptability, and comfort operating amid changing priorities.
  • Practical use of AI tools to improve research, outreach, and sales workflows.

Ideal experience

  • At least 3 years of experience in the SaaS sector.
  • Strong outbound prospecting capability and a history of building net-new pipeline.
  • A proven record of exceeding quota.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a willingness to create value in an environment with limited structure.
  • Basic knowledge of digital assets and the crypto economy.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude for prospecting, personalised outreach, and call preparation.
  • Fluency in both English and Mandarin.

Bonus experience

  • Good working knowledge of AML/KYC and forensics, either in crypto or in traditional financial services.
  • Experience selling SaaS products to crypto-native financial services organisations.
  • Additional APAC language fluency such as Bahasa or Malay.
