Inspector

Role overview

This position is responsible for checking materials and components against defined procedures and specifications. The role focuses on ensuring parts are inspected accurately, recorded correctly, and handled in a way that maintains quality throughout the workflow.

Core responsibilities

• Carry out visual and dimensional checks, along with area management activities for parts.
• Confirm that work clearance, routing documents, and related records are accurate, complete, and in order.
• For incoming inspection work, document the condition of all received parts accurately so the correct scope of work can be determined.
• For final inspection work, verify that parts fully comply with specification requirements.
• Stop any non-conforming parts from moving to the next stage of the process.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers with evaluations and audit-related activities when needed.
• Gather inspection data and share quality feedback with Manufacturing Engineers and Quality Engineers as required.
• Complete planned maintenance activities and housekeeping duties on schedule.
• Support other departments with related tasks and take on additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and experience

• GCE O Level or an equivalent qualification, paired with 3 years of quality inspection experience; or
• GCE A Level or an equivalent qualification, paired with 2 years of quality inspection experience; or
• NITEC in Mechanical Engineering; or
• Any other relevant recognized technical training or certification, considered on a case-by-case basis.

Preferred profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or Aircraft Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Understanding of flaws and defects.
• Ability to work with precision measuring tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints.
• Experience in quality control within repair or manufacturing environments.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications.
• Collaborative team-oriented mindset.
