About the Role

This opportunity is for a contract-based Instructional Designer role focused on Education — Visual Document Understanding. The work is fully remote and involves supporting AI research by creating and evaluating tasks related to document understanding within the education domain. The engagement is expected to run for 15–20 hours per week, with compensation set at $50 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Assess AI systems on visual document understanding and instruction-following tasks in the education space.
Create challenging, well-grounded tasks with clear expected outputs and objective evaluation criteria.
Check AI-generated responses and refine them to improve quality and correctness.
Partner with subject matter experts to keep tasks aligned, accurate, and relevant.
Work autonomously and on an asynchronous schedule while meeting deadlines and supporting model improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Strong expertise in visual document understanding is required.
Prior experience in the education domain is required.
