Job description
Role Overview
Aussie Broadband is hiring two Internal Account Managers for its Wellington office. These are permanent, full-time positions suited to someone who enjoys developing client relationships, understands the telecommunications industry, and brings a commercial mindset to account growth.
In this role, you will support and expand an existing customer portfolio. Experience in account management, sales, or business development will help you succeed, as the position calls for strong relationship-building and sound business judgement.
About the Company
Aussie Broadband says it values inclusion and diversity, encouraging people to bring their full selves to work. The organisation describes itself as an Equal Opportunity Employer and highlights its commitment to treating people well and representing its customers and communities thoughtfully.
The company also notes its growth journey from regional Victoria to a large presence across Australia, and says it is now the fourth-largest telecommunications provider in Australia.
Its culture is guided by five core values: do not be ordinary, be awesome; think big; no bullsh*t; be good to people; and have fun.
Aussie Broadband is also a B Corp Certified business, meaning it says it meets high standards in social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The company further supports community initiatives through Pledge 1%, sponsorships, and paid staff community service leave.
What You Will Do
- Develop and maintain strong client partnerships within the Symbio portfolio.
- Work on strategic account outcomes by planning actions that improve customer results.
- Monitor major accounts closely and respond quickly when circumstances change.
- Coordinate effectively with customers, colleagues, and internal teams.
- Prepare and deliver account plans with strong commercial judgement.
- Oversee day-to-day margin performance for customer accounts.
What We’re Looking For
The company is seeking candidates with account management experience at an entry to mid-level stage, ideally gained in account management, sales, or business development. You should be comfortable managing commercial relationships and bring proven negotiation ability along with success in account or sales-focused environments.
Perks and Benefits
- 26 weeks of paid parental leave for both primary and secondary caregivers, on top of any government-paid entitlement.
- Discounted internet worth up to $109 per month.
- 20% discount on mobile services.
- Flexible work arrangements, plus access to an Employee Assistance Program and discounts with well-known brands such as Specsavers and HCF.
- Monthly rewards and recognition.
- Internal training and learning resources to support ongoing growth and career development.
- Annual allowance for Aussie-branded merchandise.
- Fitness Passport access to multiple gyms and pools across Australia.
Application Notes
The employer encourages applicants who may not meet every requirement to still share their story. Applications must be submitted through the role’s application link rather than by email. Questions can be directed to the recruiting team by email, but applications sent that way will not be accepted.
Inclusion Statement
Aussie Broadband says it is committed to inclusion, diversity, and equal opportunity, and wants a team that reflects its customers and communities.
