Role overview
This is a newly created permanent position based in Sydney, focused on helping shape and deliver internal communication across the business. The role sits within a fast-moving environment and involves keeping employees informed through well-planned content and coordinated communication activity.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, prepare, and distribute communication materials across internal channels such as the intranet, email, and presentations.
- Support the planning and coordination of internal communication initiatives, including maintaining communication calendars and assisting with campaign rollout.
- Keep intranet pages, content repositories, templates, and distribution lists accurate, up to date, and easy to navigate.
- Provide day-to-day coordination support to the communications team, including managing documents, helping prepare newsletters, supporting internal events, and scheduling content.
- Track and review communication metrics and analytics to help improve future messaging and channel performance.
Requirements
The position calls for a communications professional who can operate effectively in a busy corporate setting and handle a range of deadlines and priorities.
- A tertiary qualification in communications, journalism, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in corporate or internal communications, media relations, and/or journalism, with demonstrated strength in corporate communications.
- Confidence working both on your own and as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
- The capability to manage several projects at once while staying effective under tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with communication measurement tools, analytics platforms, intranet systems, content management systems, and similar technologies that support communication planning and delivery.
