Role overview

Amazon’s Middle East, Türkiye and Africa region is looking for a proactive, imaginative, and data-minded Internal Communications Specialist to support the operations organization. This position sits at the center of employee engagement across the region and helps shape how the Operations workforce stays informed, connected, and inspired.

The selected candidate will design and run communication and engagement initiatives that highlight the work happening across Amazon MEATR Operations, including Amazon Customer Fulfillment and Amazon Transportation Services. The role helps define the employee experience and supports Amazon’s goal of being an employer of choice.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to create and deliver a full communications plan for Amazon MEATR Operations.
  • Drive internal communication rollouts for new initiatives, policy changes, organizational updates, and operational announcements.
  • Oversee communication channels and review how well they perform using data and reporting.
  • Spot new themes, issues, and trends early, then shape timely communication responses.
  • Coordinate with site stakeholders to support communication during incidents, urgent situations, and business-critical moments.
  • Partner with translation providers to make sure materials are properly adapted for associates across the region.
  • Weave Amazon’s leadership principles, business values, and strategic priorities into everyday communications.
  • Look for ways to simplify processes and create scalable, consistent employee communication practices.

Required qualifications

  • Professional experience in communications or public relations.
  • Background in managing external agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a similar discipline.
  • Ability to evaluate communication impact using data and analytics.
  • Working knowledge of content management systems, design software, and video production coordination.

Preferred qualifications

  • Fluency in Arabic, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Fluency in Turkish, including speaking, reading, and writing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for audiences ranging from technical teams to senior leaders.
  • Experience in e-commerce, retail, supply chain, or financial services.
  • Exposure to workplace violence response, emergency response, crisis management, or business continuity practices.
