Job description
Role Overview
The Inventory Analyst role focuses on keeping the supply chain system precise and current by working closely with relevant stakeholders. The position supports management decisions by tracking supply chain performance, preparing reports, and analyzing results. It also ensures inventory control is handled in accordance with ISO standards and safety policies.
Key Accountabilities
Core duties span reporting, documentation, item master updates, operational follow-up, safety compliance, and supply chain performance analysis. The role also involves helping the business maintain accurate records, track progress on action plans, and support management reviews with timely KPI insights.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare monthly closing reports by capturing all monthly transactions and coordinating with warehouses and other relevant teams so pending items are closed on time.
- Support the annual stock count by organizing and archiving documentation, following up with warehouses and stakeholders, and ensuring end-of-year records are complete and accurate before issuing the count report.
Item Master Management
- Update item prices, quantities, and expiry dates in the system after approved requests are received from the relevant stakeholders, keeping records accurate and current.
Operations Support
- Track action plans across supply chain departments and issue progress updates for management to help ensure targets are met.
- Process invoice cancellations and transfers of retail goods stock from stores to warehouses in the system based on approved requests, helping preserve company resources and maintain data accuracy.
Safety and Compliance
- Carry out work in line with ISO standards, safety procedures, and workplace requirements to support certification compliance and a safe working environment.
Supply Chain Performance
- Prepare periodic KPI reports to evaluate supply chain performance, highlight improvement areas, and assist decision-making.
- Take part in regular management meetings by consolidating presentations from supply chain departments, following up on action items, and presenting KPI results.
Additional Information
The role is primarily indoor work (100% indoors, 0% outdoors). The standard schedule is 5 working days per week with 2 days off. Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The job may also include additional responsibilities as assigned beyond the tasks listed above.
Education and Experience
A BSc degree or diploma is required, along with 3 years of experience. The role also expects strong computer skills, with expert-level proficiency in Excel and familiarity with WMS or inventory applications.
Languages
English and Arabic are required.
