Overview
AECOM is hiring an L2 IT Desktop Support Engineer in Singapore to provide hands-on technical support across end-user computing and field services. The role focuses on Windows operating system deployment, device support, troubleshooting, asset handling, and coordination with internal teams, managed service providers, and vendors. Responsibilities
- Image, install, and configure Windows operating systems on end-user devices.
- Set up, configure, and troubleshoot software according to organizational needs.
- Resolve routine hardware and software break-fix problems through deskside support.
- Support end-user computing and desktop field services activities.
- Carry out IMAC tasks, including install, move, add, and change requests for devices.
- Perform health checks and sanity checks for conference rooms on a periodic basis.
- Escort vendors to conference rooms when break-fix support is required.
- Serve as a point of contact between users and MSP teams for escalations and advanced troubleshooting.
- Track and manage asset inventory, including stock levels and disposal workflows.
- Coordinate hard asset disposal with external disposal vendors.
- Ensure secure handling of assets, including single wipe pass compliance and safe storage at company facilities.
- Handle incidents and service requests such as SRs and RITMs.
- Restore services within agreed SLA/OLA timelines and document incident closure properly.
- Provide deskside support for software deployment and configuration changes.
- Coordinate support for new joiners so they are ready on their first day.
- Manage asset disposal activities and related vendor coordination.
- Carry out move activities and configuration updates as needed.
- Maintain asset management and configuration management records and databases.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in technical field services or a similar support role.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows OS imaging, installation, and configuration.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues effectively.
- Experience supporting EUC/Desktop environments and field service operations.
- Understanding of asset management and configuration management processes.
- Good communication and coordination skills, especially when working with L3 teams and vendors.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and manage several tasks at the same time.
- Experience with asset management, vendor coordination, and incident management.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation, and CompTIA A+ or an equivalent credential.
