IT Specialist

About the Opportunity

This role focuses on providing technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for end-users' computers, networks, and devices, ensuring seamless IT operations and collaboration across departments. Duties and Responsibilities

• Provisioning and configuring client machines according to company standards.
• Providing comprehensive troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and applications.
• Meticulously tracking, managing, and organizing IT equipment inventory.
• Creating, tracking, and resolving IT support tickets efficiently.
• Responding to end-user inquiries and delivering timely service and solutions.
• Administering user accounts for both internal and external systems.
• Executing timely onboarding and offboarding tasks for users.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience in IT support, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve client issues.
• Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Proficient in Active Directory, M365, Windows, macOS, VPN, Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) tools, Client Patch Management, End-Point Protection, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Collaboration Tools (Zoom, Slack), and Ticket Management (Jira). Familiarity with Linux is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including cabling, OSI model, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP; advanced knowledge is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex issues using available resources.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening and the ability to clearly document technical issues and their resolutions. Proven experience interacting with executive leadership.

Desired Experience

• Possession of an A+ Certification or any other industry-recognized IT support certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) is a plus.

Working Conditions

• This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week presence in the Austin, Texas office (Monday-Thursday).
• Physical ability to lift and carry computer equipment as needed is necessary.
