Janitor - Full Time

Role overview

Pacific Villas Post Acute is seeking a full-time Janitor to support laundry and linen services that help maintain resident comfort, cleanliness, and proper care.

Key duties

• Keep an adequate supply of clean linens available for resident use and comfort.
• Inspect linens regularly and remove items from circulation when they are damaged, torn, or stained.
• Gather residents’ laundry each day or whenever needed.
• Tag new residents’ clothing items as required.
• Sort, pre-treat, wash, dry, and fold clothing and linens.
• Deliver freshly cleaned laundry back to resident rooms.
• Follow all sanitation standards and procedures connected to laundry work.
• Track and maintain laundry supply inventory.
• Operate laundry machines and related supplies safely.
• Escalate equipment problems to the Administrator.

Supervisory scope

This role does not include any supervisory duties.

Education and experience

A GED or high school diploma is required. Prior experience of 1 year is preferred.

Skills and abilities

The position calls for the ability to read and understand instructions related to laundry and housekeeping tasks, handle basic arithmetic, and use sound judgment to solve problems or ask for help when needed.

Certifications

No license or certification is needed for this job.

Physical requirements

This job may require lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds at times. The employee will regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, read, and listen, and will frequently use industrial washers, dryers, and other laundry or housekeeping equipment.

Work environment

The work setting is typically quiet to moderately noisy.

Compensation

The pay range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
