Role overview
The Junior Cybersecurity Analyst will help strengthen cybersecurity governance, risk management, and resilience efforts across the organization. This role supports policy and control development, security awareness, compliance work, third-party risk activities, and identity governance administration. The position is based onsite in Indian Land, South Carolina.
Key responsibilities
- Help build and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and governance aligned to frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and CIS Controls.
- Partner with infrastructure and compliance teams to identify, track, and close cybersecurity risks and issues quickly.
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives and employee education efforts.
- Assist with business impact analysis work for systems and applications.
- Support the creation of cyber resilience plans, including incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
- Take part in third-party risk management program activities.
- Support internal and external audits, along with responses to security questionnaires.
- Assist with identity governance and administration tasks.
Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of experience in an IT-related role.
- Strong interest in learning and developing cybersecurity knowledge.
- Hands-on exposure to a structured security framework such as NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, CIS, or ISO 27001.
- Basic knowledge of network security, vulnerability assessment, and implementation and testing of security controls.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work comfortably across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to work independently with clear communication skills.
- Relevant certification such as Security+ or CISA is preferred.
- Practical understanding of network security, threat intelligence, and security controls.
Compensation and benefits
The estimated annual salary range for this role is $71,598 to $93,130. Pay may differ in other locations depending on market conditions, and final compensation will depend on experience and other legally permitted factors.
