Role summary
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will help manage the day-to-day finance operations while building experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end activities. The role suits a driven finance professional who wants practical exposure and steady development in accounting.
Key duties
- Support month-end and year-end accounting close activities.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Post journals, accruals, and prepayments accurately.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks.
- Help prepare VAT returns and financial reports.
- Keep accounting records complete, accurate, and well documented.
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting work when needed.
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance-related tasks.
- Create financial reports and analysis for the finance team.
- Take part in ad hoc finance projects and process improvements.
Candidate profile
Applicants should have prior experience in a finance or accounting position. The ideal candidate will have an Accounting Technician qualification or be part-qualified as an accountant, along with a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals and reconciliations. Strong organisation, accuracy, communication, and teamwork skills are important. Experience with Power BI would be an advantage.
