Where you'll work
Job description
About the Company
ParagraphAI began in 2022 and was the first business globally to launch GPT-level AI on both iPhone and Android. Since then, it has grown to more than 1 million installs and expanded into several new AI software areas. This role offers a chance to join one of Canada’s early AI pioneers.
Role Overview
This position blends data science, marketing, and operations. The work is centered on treating the business like a lab: forming hypotheses, testing them, studying the outcomes, and clearly recording what happened, including what did not work. You will be expected to turn insights into action and help ship the next step yourself.
The team does not expect a deep infrastructure or hardcore engineering background. Engineering support is available for technical needs. What matters most is a strong interest in building with AI and using tools such as Claude and other LLMs to automate work in a practical, hands-on way.
What You Will Do
- Plan and execute structured experiments across research, product, and marketing, including A/B testing and the measurement needed to determine what truly made a difference.
- Explore user data to spot behavior trends, such as identifying actions in the first week that correlate with higher subscription likelihood, and convert those observations into testable ideas.
- Maintain a detailed experiment record that tracks the hypothesis, test, result, and conclusion as part of the company’s R&D tracking process.
- Run experiments directly by writing copy, building flows, and adjusting budgets as conditions change.
- Review AI-generated content with a human eye and remove anything that would not meet a high editorial standard.
- Support business operations as needed by modeling unit economics and capacity, negotiating with vendors, drafting SOPs, and leading rollouts for new tools and processes.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is curious about how people think and make decisions, and has a real interest in psychology and persuasion. You should be able to distinguish strong copy from weak AI-generated writing and explain your judgment clearly.
You should also enjoy working with AI tools, ideally having already automated at least one task with an LLM or similar tool, even on a small scale. Comfort with data is important, along with a willingness to learn basic SQL and Python with support from the engineering team.
Strong communication skills are essential, since your notes, copy, and SOPs will influence real decisions and reach real customers. You should also be comfortable moving between spreadsheets, scripts, and phone calls in the same day.
Eligibility
Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada. A background in marketing or operations is welcome, especially for people who have run campaigns or processes and want a better way to test their instincts.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Toronto, Canada. The base salary is $55,000, along with bonuses, benefits, and other incentives.
Application Note
The hiring team reviews every application carefully.
