Job description
Role overview
This position is for an early-career Information Security Analyst who will help support everyday cybersecurity operations and related initiatives across the organization. It is suited to someone who wants practical exposure in a team-based environment while building core security knowledge and experience.
About the organization
The Clearing House is a banking association and payments company owned by the largest commercial banks in the United States. It operates essential U.S. payments infrastructure and is actively modernizing that infrastructure by introducing a new real-time payment system. It is the only privately run ACH and wire operator in the country, processing and settling close to $2 trillion in U.S. dollar payments daily, which accounts for about half of all commercial ACH and wire activity. The organization has supported the banking industry since 1853, with services that include direct deposit, bill payment, and check image exchange.
Qualifications required
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree, or be currently working toward one, in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline. The role calls for 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information technology, or relevant internships. Candidates should already understand basic cybersecurity principles and best practices, and bring strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and good organizational habits. Clear written and verbal communication is also important, along with the ability and willingness to learn quickly in a fast-moving environment.
Preferred background
Helpful additional exposure includes familiarity with security tools, technologies, or common industry frameworks. Some understanding of networking, operating systems, and cloud environments is desirable, and experience with scripting or automation tools would be an advantage. Progress toward, or possession of, certifications such as Security+ or Network+ is also valued.
Responsibilities
The analyst will contribute to cybersecurity programs, operational tasks, and process support work. The role includes helping identify, investigate, and resolve security issues, maintaining documentation, procedures, and reporting materials, and taking part in assessments, reviews, and improvement efforts. The position may also involve monitoring, incident investigation, and response support, as well as participation in compliance, risk management, and security governance activities. Collaboration with technology teams to reinforce secure practices, and contribution to security awareness, training, and communication efforts, are also part of the job. Other related security duties may be assigned as needed.
Work environment and conditions
The work is mainly sedentary and performed in a standard office setting with normal lighting, temperature, and standard office equipment. The environment is described as generally favorable, with no unusual hazards or unpleasant conditions related to noise, dust, or similar factors. Employees in this role are expected to be in the office three days per week. Occasional travel may be necessary, and the onsite requirement may change at any time.
